HERO OF MALAYA
An infographic poster of a real time war hero of World War II for Singapore's Total Defence Day on February 15, the day Singapore fell to the Imperial Japanese and the surrender of the British forces.

ULTRAMAN SINGAPORE
Nothing brings more joy than creating a digital art of my childhood superhero from Japan, as part of celebrating the 55th Anniversary of Singapore-Japan Diplomatic Relations (SJ55).

HIMEJI CASTLE
Went to Japan for the first time in 2019 and was completely mesmerised by the majestic Himeji Castle that I took this photo and convert it into an oil paint portrait to hang it on my bedroom wall.
POSTER ADS
The project is done as part of Adobe Photoshop CC - Essentials Training Coursed conducted by Bring Your Own Laptop.
Design a poster of a waterproof shoes by Nike by using a splatter paint effects to give a sparkling effects of water sprinkles.
I got the text to interact with the ink and plants for the Nature Therapy poster to make the words blend in with nature.
I did the vintage Instagram matte photo for the Car Expo poster to make it look like a genuine old photo of a classic car.
I use the smoke effect on Kindness Movement poster to create the toxic look which represents "negativity".
I did a fake motion blur for the Jeep poster by blurring the background to make it look like the jeep is moving.
I used the splatter paint effects on Blind Date poster to create sparkles which represents "love".
RANDOM MOCKUPS
I choose the roadside for the Jeep poster near a zebra crossing and car park where drivers can see when driving slowly.
I choose the billboard of what appears to be a big superstore building for the Sports Shoe poster to target the shoppers.
I chose Total Defence poster at the train station of Pasir Panjang, the historical site of the last battle of Leftenant Adnan and his regiment.
SELF-REFLECTION
I first create these designs as part as part of Adobe Photoshop CC - Essentials Training Coursed conducted by Bring Your Own Laptop, and as hobby or practice what I have learnt by creating several effects of various photos.
But I later decided to make a practical use of them into posters. It is quite challenging to create an eye-catching poster which is at the same time simple enough to get the audience's attention and not to push them away with too many words.
​
I also tried to use some creativity for some of these photos such as the balloon and the chair which is meant for a birthday but I took another spin at it into making it into a blind date event for the lonely hearts to find love.
​
And for the person with the smoke effect, I originally thought of using it for a stop smoking campaign but again decide to take a different look into making it a kindness movement poster instead.
